Geneva2000TM Tools For Doctors & Dental Technicians

For Better communication between patient,
doctor and laboratory.

Alameter

The Alameter is a vital instrument for both the doctor?s office and the dental technician. The Alameter measures the ala to ala distance of the nose. The distance represents the width of the six anterior segment of the teeth. This classifies the arch width, and the size of Geneva 2000 teeth. Research shows that this is accurate 96% of the time and is more accurate than any other methods used to select the width of the Anterior Arch. The Alameter also has the guide to select the exact mold that will best be used for your male or female patients. Instructions for the use of this instrument are written directly on the instrument.

Papillameter (autoclavable)

The Papillameter is an autoclavable intra-oral instrument used to measure the length of the upper lip when at rest. This is an easy method of communication between the doctor?s office and the laboratory as to how long the upper lip is at rest, in addition to saving the doctor chair time.

In the dental office treatment room the doctor spends a lot of chair time with the patient and the laboratory formed bite blocks. A customized wax rim can be formed by using the Papillameter and the Alameter, by the laboratory ,called the E.C.B. (Esthetic Control Base) The E.C.B. saves chair time and is individualized for each patient. The E.C.B. is the first step in establishing the new denture plane of occlusion. The E.C.B. also gives better esthetics and stability to the new dentures.

Rimformer

for Premium Aesthetics in Denture Construction

A integral tool in creating the most natural Geneva 2000? aesthetic results.   The Rimformer allows the operator to use the Alameter and Papillameter measurements from the doctor to melt wax while creating a working wax bite block or rim called an Esthetic Control Base (ECB) that has:

  • Proper anterior length
  • Is horizontally level with the hamular notches which parallels the denture to the base of the skull
  • A natural Buccal Corridor
  • Proper Cuspid Position

* All of the above can be pre-established in the lab with the use of the Rimformer.

This recorder allows you to arrive at the precise vertical dimension and centric relation that is best for each individual patient. You can depend on this tool to give you the correct jaw relation. Far superior that what you can get from a wax bite block.

Silver Template

Used in Non-Interceptive Occlusion to set the posteriors and lower anteriors. The Stainless steel template has been machined to a thickness of .020" while maintaining its rigidity so the teeth can be set against it.
This thickness provides the under bite in the anterior part of the denture. If used properly the silver template produces an under bite that helps prevent soreness and long term bone loss for the denture wearer.
For more information see video tape # 4

Black Template

Only for Non-Interceptive Occlusion cases.
Made of black anodized aluminum 1/16" thick. These templates are milled to be true within .0002 of an inch.  After the denture has been processed the AutoCentric flat posteriors are milled flat with wet dry sand paper against a glass slab.   The black template is then used to check the flatness of those  posteriors to insure proper functional stabilty when using Non-Interceptive Occlusion.
Used during post processing refinement and the post insertion adjustment phase.
